ABOUT US

The community of Hickson has a long standing love for the game of softball. Many of the families in the village have grown up spending summers on the ball diamond. We are committed to bringing the same experience to the next generation of Hickson children. We strive to provide an environment where kids can learn about teamwork, dedication, accountability, and fun.

Our House League Program is a fundamental introduction to softball. Children aged 4-7 are taught the basics in a fun, inclusive approach. This program runs twice a week from May to July each summer.

South Oxford Softball League
The Tigers are teams of children aged 7 and up who travel in the S.O.S.L. The league runs from May to July each summer and finishes with a year end tournament. The fundamentals of softball are a continuous focus as the team grows.

PARENTAL WAIVER

1. I grant permission for the above-named child to participate. I realize that I am responsible for insurance on this player and will not hold the Hickson Sports and Recreation Committee or its members or coaches responsible for any accident that may occur to him/her.

2. I shall supply my child with an approved helmet with face mask.

PLAYER’S AGREEMENT

1. I agree to take proper care of equipment and uniforms. Uniforms are to be worn for all games only and returned in good conditions at end of season.

2. I agree to be on time for all games and practices and will notify my coach if I am unable to attend.

3. I agree to be courteous and to refrain from using profane language. I will show respect to all other players, coaches, officials, and fans.

All players at any age must wear a mask on their helmet.

Note: A $100 cheque (post-dated for Sept.1/25) will be required when uniforms are handed out. This cheque will be returned to you when the uniform is returned, and you have worked a turn in the booth at the park.
